If bitcoin is to resist central pressure then we cannot allow central parties of elites to dictate the direction of bitcoins path forward. To those who call bitcoin core devs from around the world "elites" .......these are not 8 figure + investment firms and mining monopolies. These are engineers who have spent their lives involved in advancing their careers as software engineers and mathematicians and are average joe's money wise. There is absolutely no rational reason to advocate for a HF when we have SW + LN pending. We've seen how this has played out on LTC. All the miners that were blocking SW suddenly stopped as soon as Jihan got what he wanted. Are we really going to let them do this to bitcoin? If so, you should sell all your bitcoin because the absolute worst fears have been confirmed. Once central mining actors retain control of bitcoins path forward then you might as well just use paypal because bitcoin is doomed. Let us not forget that the only reason we are having this issue right now is because miners have blocked the solution. Are we really going to reward their ego's because they've created this problem?
